She looks gorgeous and beautiful in the song apart from the fact that she brings a certain naughtiness to this scintillating number. Considering that the song was originally picturised on Helen, one of the most talented dancers, Bebo has also done an appreciable job.
Bipasha Basu in Omkara
‘Bold’ is the word for her. Since Bips has come into Bollywood, she has only shocked audiences in a breathtaking way, that is. And this item number Beedi Jalaile is no different. She teases you with her enticing ‘naaach’ and leaves one wanting for more. It was largely due to her dance coupled with the music that got this number to the top of the charts all over the nation.
Mumait Khan in Munnabahi Mbbs
When she stood on the hospital bed looking down at Jimmy Shergill in the song Dekh Le, she had the entire nation staring out at her open mouthed. Mumait Khan made sure she had every director’s attention in Bollywood with this song from Munnabhai MBBS. Her smooth dance steps and her daring attitude was what made her a favourite. Also the nose ring was an added look to the ‘killer’ attitude that she portrayed onscreen. With just one song, she made a lasting impression of sorts.
Lara Dutta in Khakee
Another Miss Universe who dared to do an item number was Lara Dutta. Her song Aisaa Jadoo Dala Re from the movie Khakee did create magic and left fans spellbound. She sure had a lot of josh while dancing for this number and it comes across in her energy that can be seen onscreen. 
Yana Gupta in Dum
This hot chick who landed in tinsel ville from as far as Czechoslovakia, hardly knew Hindi when she titillated audiences from all streams and classes with Babbuji Dheere Chalo in E Niwas’s Dum. Yana’s ass and hip shaking movements had everyone from Jammu to Kanyakumari glued to the screens. And it also got her more roles in movies where she had a chance to act apart from playing to the galleries.
Sameera Reddy in Musafir
Sizzling Sameera stole the thunder with this hot hot hot number Rabba Rabba in her very first film Musafir. Her skimpy attire only added to her appeal and when she moved her body the way she did, no one moved their eyes off her, literally. Sameera’s role in the movie may not have got noticed. Her acting skills too needed to be honed, yet there was no disputing her skills on the dance floor. Another Bong Babe who danced her way to fame with an item song from the movie Musafir was Koena Mitra with ‘Saaki Saaki’. She even had Sanju baba for company and an Arabic look to the song. Her hourglass figure was the only thing that was noticed other than her scintillating dance steps. 
Aishwarya Rai in Shakti
We never expected Miss World (now Mrs. Bachchan) to do a complete full fledged item number but then that is what we got to see in Ash’s Ishq Kameena.. In Shakti. Aishwarya seemed like an enchanting temptress and we were pleasantly surprised with her swift dance movements that left us exasperated. Her naughtiness in the eyes and sexiness in her hips had us desiring for more from this damsel.
Isha Koppikar in Company
Her smashing looks and superb dancing got her noticed in Ram Gopal Verma’s Company. Isha Koppikar’s alluring expressions in this rainy song Khallas left audiences gasping for more and more. She danced to a couple of more item songs (Ishq Samandar from Kaante) before she went on to take up more meaningful roles. But ardent fans still remember Isha for that one song more than anything else.
